“What Color Blue Did King Solomon Wear? New Evidence Tells Us.” A research study reports archaeologists discovered a 3000-year-old dyed fabric in Tina in the southern Negev desert dating to the 10th century B.C. This is the first evidence of the actual plants from which the dyes were acquired for ancient fabric dyeing. This also suggests that this society from the region of Edom was hierarchical, with the wealthy able to proudly identify themselves by the colorful clothing they wore in public.
