Origin of the New Testament (4 class sessions)
Most Christians believe that God gave the New Testament to His followers. What is not common understanding is how that process took place. How did they know what He wanted written? Did God simply dictate the words to the authors? Once the documents were written how were they distributed among the young churches? How were the 27 books selected from among the hundreds of writings being created about Jesus? How were the books copied? Who did this? Can these documents be trusted as the word of God? These questions and others will be discussed in this class. We will look at how God revealed his will to the authors, how he preserved the documents through the copying process, how he protected the content in the transmission process, how the final 27 books were selected, and the value of the Dead Sea Scrolls in the study of the New Testament.

Israel Course (4 Videos)
Physical Geography of Israel
Reading biblical narratives is sometimes difficult to understand because our understanding of Biblical geography limits the meaning of the text. This video explains the geography of the Holy Land and how it impacted every biblical event. We explore how God created the land and how those moving through were limited to only a few possible roadways. These limits created difficulties as well as opportunities for those living in the area.
Theological Geography of the Promised Land
The term “Theological Geography” is likely a new concept for you and yet God described major theological themes by using the geography familiar to his people. This lesson contains a look at several of these as well as a new examination of the biblical metaphor “Land of Milk and Honey.”
Understanding Eastern and Western Thought
This video is a brief look at the 26 differences developed in the author’s book “East vs West.” Understanding the differences between the way the Eastern and Western minds think helps understand many biblical images since the Jewish/Christian scriptures were written for an Eastern mind.
The Arab/Israeli Conflict
Most American believers have had their understanding of the Arab/Israeli Conflict molded by short video clips seen on television news reports. However, the conflict is relatively new, existing only since the end of the Second World War. This lecture walks through the relationship between these two peoples, their leaders, and the major events that impacted the eventual division and current hostility.
